Monument Valley Airport (GMV/UT25) is a private fly-in airstrip at Goulding's Lodge, on the Navajo Nation — general-aviation only, with prior permission required to land and no scheduled airlines. It sits just outside Monument Valley Navajo Tribal Park, the iconic landscape of sandstone buttes managed by the Navajo Nation. Commercial travelers fly into Page or Flagstaff and drive; to fly over the Grand Canyon, Grand Canyon Scenic Airlines operates from Boulder City near Las Vegas, where we've flown the canyon since 1927.

The airstrip sits at Goulding's Lodge, a few minutes from the entrance to Monument Valley Navajo Tribal Park — the valley of sandstone buttes and mesas straddling the Utah–Arizona border. It's a private GA field, used mostly by visitors flying themselves in to stay at Goulding's and tour the valley.

Monument Valley is explored on the ground, by Navajo-guided tour. From Goulding's, the Tribal Park, The View overlook and the famous Forrest Gump Point on US-163 are minutes away. Flying over the Tribal Park requires a Navajo Nation permit; the airstrip alone doesn't include park overflight.

A private PPR airstrip — no scheduled airlines, no FBO.
Monument Valley Airport is a private airstrip with no scheduled commercial service — it exists to bring guests in to Goulding's Lodge and the valley. Landing requires prior permission (PPR) from Goulding's, there's no fuel or control tower on the field, and the single runway is used one-way because of the surrounding terrain. Most visitors arrive by road instead, flying into Page, Flagstaff or a regional airport and driving.

Goulding's airstrip is private — call ahead for permission to land. There's no fuel, lighting or rental car on the field, so plan ground transport and fuel through the lodge.
