The South Rim of the Grand Canyon National Park is the most famous and visited area of the Park. Beautiful and awe-inspiring, the South Rim is the usually the "picture on all the postcards" because it is the widest part of the Grand Canyon. For a map of area Grand Canyon maps.
There are many activities such as mule rides, hiking trails, helicopter and airplane flights available. Tours at the South Rim can not take you below the Rim like tours at Grand Canyon West.
